Hey, everybody happy. Sunny Wednesday from Northwest Arkansas and deeper it’s health center. And you’ve gotten outside today. And even over the last couple of weeks, you’ve noticed how beautiful it’s been outside. So for that reason, what I want to do today is give you guys some summertime health tips.
That you guys can implement not only this week, but also for the rest of the summer and get us most out of 2020 as you possibly can. Hey, I’m dr. Ryan Carlson. I’m the owner of deep roots health center in Bentonville, Arkansas. And what I want to bring to you first today is talking about vitamin D because the one place that you get vitamin D outside of supplements is actually through the sunshine.
That’s the only natural form to actually get vitamin D into your diet in large amounts is getting sunshine. Directly on your skin. So make sure that you get plenty of sun shine this summer. It’s really, really important. what the research shows is that if you get 15 to 20 minutes, a day of continuous sunshine on about 75% of your body, that’s going to increase your immunity tremendously.
So of course, immunity is a hot topic right now. We got to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to boost our immunity and stuff. Shine with vitamin D is definitely one of the best ways to do that. So get plenty of sunshine. I like to do is while I do outside activities, I get my sunshine while I’m doing that.
So I actually double dip into the next tip, which is getting lots and lots of exercise, especially doing that in the outdoors. This summer really, really important to get movement into your space. Buying to get movement into your body, whether it’s, you know, playing sand volleyball or doing some swimming, whether it’s biking or even just going for an evening walk, make sure that you’re getting plenty of exercise at least half an hour on a daily basis.
Get movement into that body and get moving into the spine because here’s the deal sitting is the new smoking. There was a time yeah. Magazine that came, you know, that, that, that came out with that on the cover a couple of years ago. And, everybody knows that if you’re sitting for long periods of time and you’re sedentary, it’s not going to get you the results.
What you’re looking for with your health. So sitting is the new smoking. When you are sitting at home, make sure that you’re getting movement in your spine, but take a break at some point throughout the day, get outside, get some sunshine, get some movement into your body because the way that you prevent degeneration and arthritis of the spine is actually with motion into your spinal joints.
So get motion into those vertebrae that prevents degeneration. It stimulates the nervous system. And allows you to prevent things like sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck pain, back pain, headaches, you name it, any condition that can be related to the spine can be helped out by getting motion into all of those joints.
So make sure you’re doing that. And then we can not wait. See you guys throughout the rest of the summer with your adjustments. Of course, one of the most vital things that you guys can do for your health. So between vitamin D between movement and action, exercise outside, as well as getting your specific chiropractic adjustment.
And it’s that we deliver here at deep roots. we know that you’re going to have one of the best summers, one of the best 2020s of your life. And we cannot wait to continue to serve. You. Make sure that you get out and enjoy some sunshine as the summer goes on. It’s gonna be a gorgeous one.
